Looking for a family friendly attraction in Taiwan? Why not visit the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village? A place where you can observe aboriginal lifestyle and traditions, the village also hosts a huge amusement park and a European garden.
Located near Sun Moon Lake, you can visit this attraction when you are done with the Sun Moon Lake boat tour. Getting to the village is convenient as you can take a cable car ride up the hills and enjoy the aerial view of Sun Moon Lake.
Sprawling across 62 hectares, the cultural village offers many educational opportunities and recreational fun for the family. The rural outdoor scenery is carefully curated to give visitors a glimpse of aboriginal heritage by depicting the village lifestyles of the nine native tribes of Taiwan.
The cultural village consists of three different areas: the aboriginal village, the amusement park and the European garden. Upon entering, you will be greeted first by aboriginal village replicas where the huts and community layouts are modeled after the different tribes.
After a long walk through the village replicas, we finally arrived at the amusement park! Time to release the child within us!
Toward the end of your visit, you will find a vast and beautiful European garden near the exit, waiting for you to explore.
The Formosan Cultural Village is located at: 555, Taiwan, Nantou County, Yuchi Township, 大林村金天巷45號
Opening hours is 8 am to 5 pm. For more details about the park, see here.
